Insurance Data Services Adds Internet Capability To Its Certificate of Insurance Tracking Service

San Juan Capistrano, CA, January 22, 1998 - - Insurance Data Services(sm) (IDS) announced today that it has enhanced its Certificate of Insurance tracking service to allow its customers for the first time to access critical insurance coverage information via the internt. According to Tom Wickes, Vice President - Operations, “IDS” clients with internet access can now quickly obtain information about the insurance status of any of its product or service providers, as well as subcontractors, lessees, tenants or others with whom it contracts." "IDS users can instantly verify coverage and access images of the Certificates of Insurance on-line -- even print them out at their own location", said Wickes. Available on-line are "all certificates for current and past coverage periods", Wickes noted.

This new internet service is the latest in a line of technology driven solutions IDS is bringing to organizations that require their vendors, and others with whom they contract, to maintain insurance coverage to provide protection in the event of a loss. The evidence that the proper insurance coverages are in place typically comes in the form of a Certificate of Insurance. IDS, a company specializing in tracking insurance coverage, is hired to receive and process all incoming insurance certificates.
